How We Work

Objective

We at Emerson Systems recognize that workplace rules and standards are necessary to protect the health and safety of all employees, to maintain uninterrupted service, and to protect the company's goodwill and property. In addition to maintaining and enforcing this policy on work rules and general, Emerson systems complies with all applicable local laws and regulations concerning employer/employee rights and obligations, including safe workplace standards.

Work Rule Book

We at Emerson Systems have a zero tolerance to shortcuts at work and expect ALL employees and others working on company premises to abide by the rules of conduct and general safety at all times. Employees who violate any company rule or regulation will be disciplined severely but fairly, consistently and in proportion to the seriousness of the circumstances. This may include disciplinary action up to and including discharge from employment, even for the first offense, if sufficiently serious to prevent further violations.

This guide includes advice on your general legal duties and information on health and safety management.

  1. Emerson Systems want to encourage a safe and pleasant work atmosphere. This can only happen when everyone cooperates and commits to appropriate standards of behavior. The following is a list of behaviors that the company considers unacceptable. Any employee found engaging in these behaviors will be subject to disciplinary actions including warning, layoff, or dismissal.
  2. Failure to be at the work place, ready to work, at the regular starting time.
  3. Willfully damaging, destroying, or stealing property belonging to fellow employees or the company.
  4. Fighting or engaging in horseplay or disorderly conduct.
  5. Refusing or failing to carry out any instructions of a supervisor.
  6. Leaving your work station (except for reasonable personal needs) without permission from your supervisor.
  7. Ignoring work duties or loafing during work hours. Coming to work under the influence of alcohol or any drug, beverages or drugs onto company property.
  8. Intentionally giving any false or misleading information to obtain employment or a leave of absence.
  9. Using threatening or abusive language toward a fellow employee. Willfully or habitually regulation.
  10. Willfully or habitually violating safety or health regulations.
  11. Failing to wear clothing conforming to standards set by the company.
  12. Being tardy or taking unexcused absences from work.
  13. Not taking proper care of, neglecting, or abusing company equipment and tools.
  14. Using company equipment in an unauthorized manner.

  1. All drivers and equipment handlers MUST have a valid driving and relevant licenses to drive or operate ANY machines for the relevant scope of work. Impromptu inspections will be done regularly.
  2. Any driver that has an endorsement or a change in circumstances that has a significant effect on their ability to drive must notify the supervisor
  3. Report any vehicle defects to their line manager and never drive defective vehicles
  4. Driver must be aware of what action needs to be taken in an emergency situation
  5. Ensure they are physically fit to drive
  6. Drivers must inform their line Supervisor of any health problems or personal circumstances that could make driving hazardous
  7. Never drive / operate any machines while under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  8. Always remember that some prescription drugs can adversely affect the ability to drive therefore report to the supervisor
  9. Avoid using a mobile phone while driving
  10. Drive within speed limits and to the speed dictated by conditions, which may mean driving at less than the limit
  11. Follow advice on route planning supplied BY supervisor
  12. Ensure that suitable breaks are included to prevent fatigue, have regular eye tests and ensure that any necessary corrective eyewear is worn
  13. Be calm and relaxed while driving and try to avoid situations which could lead to stress or road rage
  14. Plan ahead and consider how, as a driver, you would take responsibility for vulnerable passengers in the event of a breakdown or other emergency.
  15. Personal usage of the company car, tools or materials is strictly forbidden unless it is expressively approved by the Director in written
  16. Drivers must park the vehicles at the designated parking and shall only take cars home if authorized by the Manager

It is pleased to confirm that it will not offer or facilitate directly or indirectly, any improper inducement or reward to any public officer their relations or business associates, in connection with its tender, or in the subsequent performance of contract if it is successful.

Emerson has an Anti-bribery Policy/Code of Conduct and a Compliance Program which includes all reasonable steps necessary to assure that the no-bribery commitment given in this statement will be complied with by its managers and employees, as well as by all third parties working with this company on the public sector projects, or contract including agents, consultants, consortium partners, sub-contractors and suppliers.

For this purpose a “gift” or “favour” includes, but is not limited to, any service, extension of credit, discount, money or article of value, entertainment, attendance at social events, use of recreational facilities or transportation that is not being extended to the general public. Acceptance of such gifts from a competitor or firms which supply or are interested in supplying products or services to the organization, could create a conflict of interest.

Management recognizes that employees may receive gifts as tokens of appreciation or during holiday celebrations. To ensure that there is transparency and as a general rule, gift tokens or money demanded or requested by party A (Emerson Systems directors or employees)or Party B (Client)MUST be reported and brought to the attention of the HR department of the respective. However, the Management reserves the right as to how the gift is treated.
